Dear Box Support Team,

I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out to get clarity on publishing our Box integration app and understanding its API usage policies.

App Details:

Questions & Clarifications:

  1. I came across information stating that published apps are free to use, with an API limit of 1,000 calls per minute. Could you confirm if this is correct?

  2. What is the process for publishing an app that clients can integrate into their Box accounts while ensuring that API calls remain free for them?

  3. When trying to add the Secuvy integration, we encounter the following error:
"The Secuvy integration could not be added as it is lacking the proper configuration. Please check with an enterprise admin if the integration is properly configured via Admin Console or contact the support e-mail indicated in the integration description for assistance."
Could you provide guidance on how to resolve this?

Intended Workflow & Feasibility Check:

Our intended approach is as follows:

  1. Secuvy publishes the app.

  2. Clients add the app to their Box accounts.

  3. Our Node.js project makes API calls to the clients’ Box storage.

Would this be the recommended approach, or is there a better method to achieve this integration?

Looking forward to your guidance on these points. Thank you for your support!

We want to scan Client(s) data and Client should not be charged for the API calls as Normally there is limit of 1M calls per month. So, How should we Use the published or publish new app to make our API call non-chargeable.
