Disk usage on my Mac says 27.3 GB while Box's Account Settings page says 49.8 GB used. Is this an issue with file versions taking up a bunch of space or does the script the forums keep mentioning need to be run on my account to correct the "Storage Used" value?

The issue you encounter seems related to what is described in this article:
I've ran the script that will recount all of the files and how much storage is being used in your account, so you should now see the correct storage size available in your Box.
