If I share a file by link, can people see my personal data?

Question

I want to make an open, shared link (everyone, even not registered people can view and download) but I am worried to know if they can see my personal data (photo, name, company...), especially random people who can access the file. I have been looking but have not found anything about it. Thank you for your time.

Hi there,Welcome to the Box Community and thanks for your post in the forum!Sharing a link of a single file should be alrighty and should not disclose your personal information, however when you share a link of a folder, details such as as "Item owner, Enterprise/ Company owner, Uploader/ creator, modified and created date" will be visible to others. Please see our article on Creating Shared Links for details. Thanks for your question and participation in the Community!
