I am wondering how to transfer HTML files in Box to the end user.

Hi @Jami

Welcome to Box Community and we’re here to assist!

Transfer your HTML file to Box by uploading it:

  1. Log in to Box.com and in the All Files section, click New + button in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select File Upload or Folder Upload, depending on what you'd like to upload.
  3. Select the file(s) or folder you'd like to upload.
  4. You can select multiple files for upload by holding the Command or Control key (Mac or Windows, respectively) while selecting files. However, you can only select one folder at a time for upload.
  5. Click Open or Upload.

Once your file is availabe in Box.com, you can share it with the end user by inviting him/her as collaborator or creating a shared link

Hope it helps!

Thank you for your reply!!

However, I am trying to find out if there is a setting or something, for HTML files. I have them uploaded but for viewing purposes, without downloading to a device, all of the content is junk like HTML language. I am wondering if there is something I am missing or does the end user HAVE TO download to their own device to view the files?

Hi @Jami

Good day, thanks for your reply!

Seems that this is a limitation with Box Content Preview, as HTML files can only be previewed in text-based format.
