Without losing metadata and resolution. The plus icon adds photos but compresses them. iPad photos share option only allows me to share ten at a time.

Have you tried to add/ connect Box into your Files app so you can manage items in your iPad and move them into your Box account?
The Files app doesn't contain your photo library, but you can certainly save your photos to the Files app, and then move them to other cloud services such as Box.
