When I downloaded Box app to my computer, it downloaded all the files. When I used it with my previous computer, its app only included files I created and NOT files shared by others. I prefer my Box space in my computer solely for my files and not ones shared by others. How can I pick and choose which files to be downloaded to my computer?

Welcome to the Box Community!
It looks like you are using Box Drive, and this behavior is expected since Box Drive mirrors all files and folders that is in Box webapp in a form of cache data into your Box desktop folder.

The option to select folders to download and sync to your desktop is currently not supported in Box Drive at this time. If this is something you would like to be able to do, I would highly recommend submitting this feature request at pulse.box.com! Our product managers review these requests and take them into consideration for future product development.
