Is there a way to permanently delete “Box” Shortcut on my Desktop? I created a shortcut of a specific folder I will be using mostly but each time I turn my laptop on, there is the default “Box” shortcut again.

By default, Box Drive creates a root shortcut and mount point to ensure seamless access to your Box content whenever the application launches on system startup. Because Box Drive is designed to recreate its application shortcuts upon startup/update, simply deleting the desktop shortcut will cause it to return the next time your computer boots or Box Drive restarts.
As of this writing, there is no built-in standard setting to permanently suppress only the default Desktop root shortcut while keeping Box Drive running with default options. Instead, if you want quick access to a specific folder rather than navigating through the root Box folder, you can keep your specific folder shortcut on your Desktop or pin that folder directly to Windows Quick Access / Mac Finder Favorites.
