Hi, 


I was given a box link on my phone, which opens only to the mobile version of the website (m.box.com). I want to open it in the desktop full site.


The link is formatted like this: https://m.box.com/shared_item/https%3A%2F%2Fbox.com%2Fs%2F common id code/browse/folder number


Clicking "Go to full site" on the left panel only takes me to the dashhboard of my own box. I played around the address bar, and so far:


deleting "m." brings me to my desktop box main dashboard


changing the "%2F" in the shared link to "/" shows the page doesn't exist


The mobile site doesn't allow me to download multiple and I prefer the desktop site. Clicking "more options" at the bottom does nothing. Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried to copy the link into your desktop web browser?


If clicking the "Go to full site" option brings you to your "All files" page in Box.com, try to go to your accounts "Recents" and you should be able to find files shared to you in that section.

Thanks for the reply. I am using a desktop web browser and the link is only a share link, not directly or specifically shared to me. It doesn't show up in my "Recents" even when I've logged in already.

The Shared link may have been restricted only to certain group of users if it's not accessible to you.


I would recommend reaching out the person who sent you this link and request to the owner if they can grant you access or modify the link access to a less restrictive one. I don’t think you understood my question. I have access to the mobile site, albeit it’s view-only. I think if I have permission to view the shared link on a mobile site then I should have permission to view the link on desktop as well.



My question is how to see the shared content on a desktop site instead of a mobile site when using a desktop browser.
