How do I Sync a folder on a different hard disk (not my C drive)

I'm new to Box, and I'm trying to sync my folders to Box with Box Sync.

I did fine with Music and Pictures, but when I try to drag-and-drop a folder from another hard disk, it actually makes a copy of it in my C: drive -- which doesn't work for me.

I also tried dragging and dropping other folders in drive C:, and it seems to actually move them over -- that's not good either.  I'm wondering, am I doing it wrong somehow?

Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance...

Hi Andrew,

Welcome to the Box Community!

If you would like to change the location of your Box Sync folder to another hard disk, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696674-Modifying-the-Location-of-the-Box-Sync-Folder

Hope that helps!

Best,

Hi France, that sounds good, but please help me understand:  does Box Sync always only sync the files that are in the Box Sync folder?  Is there no way to sync files that actually live in a different folder, say, my email program's Mail folder or on a different drive on my computer?  I have 2 disks on my PC (C: and D:), a fast one and a big one, and Windows wants me to keep pictures etc. in C:, while my apps including email want to keep stuff in D:...

Thanks in advance -- as you can tell, I'm completely new to this...
