Is there a convenient way to locate file folders that have zero files within it? I am trying to clean up our file system. In Internet Explorer you have the ability to type “size:empty” in the search. Is there something similar in box?
Hi
If you’re going to use the search function, you can try ‘0 Files’ then apply the filter for size 0–1 MB. This will provide a list of folders within the specified size range. Empty folders are marked as ‘0 Files’.

Another, and more effective, approach is to run the Folders and Files Report as it contains more information about the content in your Box account (e.g., owner name, last modified date, uploaded, etc.) In that report, you can identify empty folders by checking if their size is listed as ‘0 B’.
Admins and co-admins with the appropriate permissions can generate this report. To do so, navigate to:
Admin Console > Reports > Create Report > Folders and Files. If you don’t have access to reports, please contact your account’s admin.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
