My hard drive space is dwindling and as far as I can tell there is no way either through the desktop or browser to see all folders marked for offline use in one place.  Using MacOS.

Hi David,

Welcome to the Box Community!

To determine the actual local space that Box Drive takes up, examine the properties of Box's cache folder:

  • Windows: \C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Box\Box\cache
  • OS X: /Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Application Support/Box/Box/cache

For more information on Box Drive directories, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043695894-Technical-Information-for-Box-Drive-Administrators

Best,

Hi France, that only gives me the data size of everything marked for offline use.  How can I see all the files marked for offline use?

Hi - Was there a follow up to this thread? Thanks!

No because this functionality doesn't exist which is why they won't answer the question.

Has anyone determined how you can find all folders/subfolders/files which have been marked to make available offline?
Would like to manage my hard drive space, but it is nearly impossible without being able to see a list of folders/subfolders/files set as "Make Available Offline".

You know what would be a great feature to have?

An ability to sort or filter for folders that are marked available for offline use.

Currently you have to rely on your own (brain's) memory. Or you have to go through every single folder and subfolder to see which have an icon designated them as copied locally.

Or you have to log out — and then, again relying on memory, go back and find the folders you do want available offline and re-download them.

Some folder hierarchies are 3-4 subfolder levels deep, or more. Mark one of those subfolders for offline, you may not easily find it again.

When you've got a dozen or more you want to keep available, but have several that you no longer need and want to reclaim hundreds of gigabytes of disk space(!!), outside of hunting through the entirety of all of your available folders looking for that small icon, there's no way to do it.
