How can I delete my external password for Box?

My usual access is SSO, but I created an external password for FTP access.  How can I delete my external password in order to disable FTP access to my files and, also, to avoid periodic password change requirements?

Thanks.

Colin

If you open a support ticket a support.box.com we can run a script to take care of this for you! Please include a link to this forum post when you open the ticket, so the assigned agent can connect with me if needed.

Thanks Kourtney.  Is there also a way to disable FTP and FTPS access to folders that I own and share with one or more other people.?  I don't like the idea of having data accessible with only a user-assigned password to anybody in the world.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer folder-level settings to enable/disable FTP access. However, this is a great idea and I'm sure other customers would like to see this as well. I highly recommend submitting this as a feature request at pulse.box.com to our product team.

One extra layer of security you could consider adding in the meantime 2FA, which would require you to put the 2FA code after your password when logging into FTP.

Thanks for your reply Kourtney.  I am unable to submit anything on pulse.box.com; my Enterprise apparently hasn't paid for that privilege.  Also, I can't enable 2FA on my external password.  I am guessing that is because my Enterprise uses its own SSO to access Box.
