Can anyone tell me what the Chinese HOGO Enterprise integration button is doing on the document page right-side toolbar (Activity, Details, Request Signature, Add HOGO Enterprise (with chinese characters)?
This is hugely concerning. I don’t want anything to do with this company and don’t want it integrated into my online storage platform, or even associated with it.
Please advise.

This is a common Box integration that was recently highlighted in Box Preview, under “Recommended Web Integrations.” This does not mean it has been installed nor additional permissions given; the icon moved higher up in the list, which is why users are seeing it now.
The HOGO Enterprise integration adds an extra layer of security by encrypting PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, ensuring they are protected and tracked even after being downloaded. Files cannot be opened by anyone other than the designated person, preventing information leaks and unauthorized transfers or usage.
While the app isn’t enabled by default, it is available for installation. If you are the admin of the enterprise and would like to prevent users from installing the app, you can do so by following these steps:
