I have quite a few shared folders with my colleagues. I created a new folder and the intention was to move all the shared folders to this new folder and then share this with everyone again. Just so all the shared folders are in one place. However, I noticed that there is a red dot on the folders I tried to merge since yesterday (where it's meant to be the cloud shape). And when my colleagues open their box folder, they couldn't see that all the documents have been moved to one place. Help please!

Hi Daisy,

Welcome to the Box Community!

To confirm, do you own the folders you tried to move into the newly created folder or are they owned by someone else?

If the folders are owned by someone else, when moving a folder owned by another user to a folder you owned, you are basically changing the ownership of the folder, and this will result in errors since only folder owners may transfer folder ownership. Please take a look at this article for further details: Moving and Copying Files & Folders

This may require our Box Support team to work directly with you to resolve. I've gone ahead and created a ticket for you so that an agent can work directly with you on looking into this. Please check your email for details and updates.

Thanks for your patience!
