I've looked everywhere and can't find the Google Authenticator QR code. Anyone know the secret hiding place?

Hi Laura,

Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

Have you checked out this article on setting up MFA for your account? https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697154-Two-Factor-Authentication-Set-Up-for-Your-Account

During the 2FA set-up process, you will be given 2 options: to set up using an Authenticator app or using SMS Text message. If you choose "Authenticator app", you will be given a QR code which you need to scan using your chosen authenticator app to complete the set-up process:

To enable authentication app 2-factor authentication for your individual account:

  1. Click on your account icon in the top-right corner of the page, and select Account Settings.

  2. Under the Account tab, scroll to the 2-Step Verification section. (Note: You will not see this section if your organization uses single sign-on (SSO) for authentication.)

  3. Click Set up.

  4. Select Authentication App (recommended) and click Next.

  5. Open the authentication app on your phone and scan the QR code. (You can also enter the secret key located under the QR code into the authenticator app manually.)

  6. Enter the code you received in the authenticator app and click Submit.

On your next login to new devices, you will be ask to provide verification code before you can login which you can find on your chosen "Authenticator app".
