I'm writing a script to change the location of files stored on Box that are linked to in a set of spreadsheets. The links are share links, but I need to access the file information. Is there a way to fetch file information from and expired share link? If not, is it possible to refresh all share links within a Box instance?

Getting File Information from Expired Share Links

I ran a quick test yesterday and verified this morning that if a shared link expires and you generate a new one for the same content, the string at the end of the link will be different instead of "restored". For example, if the shared link before expiration is https://app.box.com/s/1234 and then expires and you generate a new one (for the same content), it is https://app.box.com/s/9876.
Therefore, you will need to have a process to catch links before they expire and update to extend the date if you want the link to remain the same. Otherwise, you will have to generate brand new links. It only possible to see where the shared link points before expiration via this endpoint.
