Hi
I am in admin role in paid Box user.

One user was personal user (none paid account) and given collaborator access now.
Since finishing his work, I want release his account access.
Seeing console, just delete account is available and no option for release.
How can I release a account from organization and get back status into personal use?

Thanks,

Hi @AgamingAdmin

Welcome to Box Community, and we’re glad to assist!

Please let me clarify, are you looking to remove the user’s permission to the shared folder?

Do you have Admin access? If yes, please head over to Admin Console> Users & Groups. Where do you see the user’s email/profile? Is it in the Managed Users tab or in the External Users tab?

We wait to your reply!

Hi  @Rona Box ,

# Please let me clarify, are you looking to remove the user’s permission to the shared folder?

>> Yes, all permission to removed from our Box instance. Also the account should keep live after permission removal at our site.

>>  The account is managed user.

Hi @AgamingAdmin,

Thank you for getting in touch!

You have to reach out to your Box Admin to remove the user’s access to the folders through Admin Console> Content Manager.

To manage collaborators of a user's files and folders:

  1. Go to Admin Console > Content.
  2. Select the Content Manager tab.
  3. Select Users.
  4. Select the Expand control (Expand) next to a user's name.
  5. Navigate the folder structure of the folders that the user owns or has access to under the user's name, or navigate the folders and view the files in the folders in the file list on the right.
  6. Hover over the file or folder and select Manage Collaborators (Manage Collaborators) or select the item on the list and select Manage Collaborators from the top action bar.
  7. Change or remove the collaborator permission in the Permission column.

Hope it helps, and please let me know if you have additional questions.
