Folder sharing

I create a folder and share it with a partner, but he can see it in grey color whilst I see it in blue color. But when he creates and shares the folder with me then he sees it in blue and I see it in grey as if it's not shared. All the content inside is visible to both, but the color just shows as if it's not properly shared.

what can we do in this situation?

Hi @Nata

Welcome to Box Community, and we are here to discuss what each folder colors meant.

Essentially, the color coding allows you to distinguish at a glance between folders you have shared with others (Blue) and folders that others have shared with you (Grey). Plain yellow folders typically represent private content that has not been shared with anyone.

Frequently-used icons are identified in the following table:

Icon Description
personalFolder.png
  • Personal folder
  • Owned by: You
  • Color: Manila
sharedFolder.png
  • Collaborated folder
  • Owned by: Someone within your enterprise
  • Color: Blue
externalFolder.png
  • External collaborated folder
  • Owned by: Someone outside your enterprise
  • Color: Grey

Hope it helps! For your additional question, please don’t hesitate to reply in this thread.
