When a folder is shared between Box.com accounts, does the Folder ID stay the same? This appears to be the case (as far as I have seen), but I need to know whether it is always true.

On a related note, are Folder IDs guaranteed to be unique across accounts (other than the root folder)? Or is it possible for different accounts to have the same Folder ID?

Yes, unless a folder is explicitly copied.

Was that "yes" to the "global uniqueness" question? Do you know if there's documentation around that?

Yes, they are globally unique. I am not sure if we have any explicit documentation on this except for that they are.

The only times when a folder ID changes is when a folder is copied This generated a new folder with a new ID. Transferring a folder to another user as part of a user deprovisioning process might also create a new ID, I am not too sure about that.

Moving a folder, renaming a folder, or even changing a folder owner does not change its ID.
