You can sort and filter all items within Box trash folder to easily located your missing files. You can filter content by items you own, or by items you’ve deleted. To do this, directly beneath the folder label (Trash), click the Items I Own (or Items I Deleted) down arrow. Then click the option you want.

If they are not in your Trash, I suggest contacting your Box Admin if you are part of an Business or Enterprise account so they can run a User Activity Report to investigate what happened to your content.
