files being shared but cannot open

I downloaded the app, my associate sent me folders, yet i cannot open or find them in my app. everytime i click the link.. it asks me to download the app again. how come??

For me to check, may I please have the following: 

  • What Box app are referring to? Is it Box Drive, Box Sync or mobile app? 

           If Box Drive, you can check this article if it is successfully downloaded: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697474-Installing-and-Updating-Box-Drive

           For Box Sync: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697194-Installing-Box-Sync (make sure that all the file that you want to sync are marked for sync in web app)

  • Screenshot of the error message.
  • What OS and version do you have?
