Files automatically deleted

Hi, I used Box from last year and after my account renewed from this year, my data doesn’t appear. 

At the early of this year, it exist but from last month it was totally deleted. 

Please help to get the data back.

Welcome to Box Community, and we’re glad to help with your missing folders!

 

Here are the things you need to check in order to locate your missing folder, 

  • Do you remember deleting files yourself from last month? 
  • If not, is this a collaborated folder you’re looking for? For collaborated folders, you might want to reach out to the folder owner and find out if the collaboration has ended.
  • Next, please check out your trash and find your deleted folder. Here’s how you could quickly search through trash.
  • One more thing, you can reach out to your Box Admin to run a User Activity Report on your account. This report will track your file and folder activities. 

To run the report: 

  1. Go to Box.com, navigate to Admin Console> Reports> Create report> User Activity. 
  2. Set the date range for this particular report. 
  3. In Action Types, choose File Management and filter it to moved to trash, moved and renamed then click run.
