Is there a way to change the settings for a single folder to not sync the file to the devices that have Box Drive? We have a large folder that we don't need to sync with any devices, but just keep it for downloading the files when needed. Not sure if there is a better practice for doing this.

Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!
Note that as soon as you log in your account through Box Drive. It will display folders present from box.com to your local Box folder. So we can't prevent this folder from showing up in your local Box folder.
Meanwhile, files are only saved to the cache when a user opens a file in their "Box" folder. And if you want to remove your cached file to keep it from taking your local space. You can go ahead and log out of Box Drive.
