I am facing the same problem.
Hi Dewi,
Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!
Can you manually reset your Box Drive Application?
- Exit Box Drive (if it is running). If necessary, use Task Manager to end the Box.exe process.
- Ascertain whether any files exist in C:\users\sUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box\unsyncedFiles. These are files that have not been uploaded to Box. If these files do exist, and if you want to keep them, copy them to any location outside of C:\users\sUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box\ (such as your desktop). Proceeding with the steps below deletes these files.
Delete this folder: C:\users\eUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box.
From RegEdit, delete the registry entries under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Box/
Box to clear Box preferences.
Restart the Box Drive and follow the prompt to log back in.
Hope it helps!
Hello Rona,
thank you for the reply. What I did is, I uninstalled Box Drive and I installed older Box Sync software. It seemed to work but the Box Sync client does not seem to sync every file.
So I uninstalled Box Sync and re installed Box Drive to test your suggestions, but the Box Drive works well again! Therefor I think by installing older Box Sync software, maybe the registry key is somehow fixed? Thank you nonetheless for your answer, if it happens again in the future, I will try your suggestion.
Regards,
Dewi
