Hi Community,

I've just update macos to 11.4 and got following issue:

Box Drive's system extension failed to load. Please make sure it has been enabled in System Preferences > Security & Privacy and then restart your computer. If the problem persists, please contact Box Support to further troubleshoot the issue.

Any ideas?

Solved by reinstalling the app. Thanks to support.

Uninstall Box Drive by following these steps:

  1. Quit Box Drive
  2. Run the uninstaller script:
    • Launch Terminal.
    • Type the following and press Enter:
      /Library/Application\ Support/Box/uninstall_box_drive

You do not see your password as you enter it. Just press ENTER when have finished typing it in.

- Check that the folder path ~/Library/Application\ Support/Box doesn't exist or is empty. Check that Box Drive has disappeared from System Preferences. Restart the machine.

- Install the latest Box Drive here. When prompted, enable the kernel extension from System Preferences -> Security And Privacy.

I also failed on 11.5.2   Everything I am reading says to enable in Privacy&Security but what do you do if it is not there?
