External User Being Ask to Create a Paid Business Account

We have a Business Plus Box plan.  I created a shared folder and invited one of our clients to join this folder as a shared user.  Instead of being prompted to create a free account, they are being prompted to create a paid business account.  They do not think their organization has a paid Box account - at least not one she has access too - so I’m not sure why this is happening.  I can’t replicate the problem on my end so I’m not sure how to solve.  Any suggestions?

Even if you were presented with the paid account setup. Remember that you could always create an account for free. 

  1. Launch your browser and go to box.com/pricing
  2. Click the “Individual and Teams” then click Sign Up under Individual (Free). 
  3. Enter all the necessary details for your Box sign up.
