Hi I'm trying to share to external mail addresses , but even if already other external are box editors ( but  different domain address) and all box settings for sharing are properly set , I receive red warning stating I cannot share the box with externals

The box is migrated for a GE box . It is a shared folder with 2 external domains

How can I solve the issue?

Thank you very much

Hi Carmine,

Welcome to the Box Community and thanks for your post in the forum!

Have you checked if there is restrictions in the folder you are trying to shared to external collaborators?

  • Find the folder you are inviting others to
  • Then, go to the Folder settings (click "More options" and choose "Settings")
  • See if "Restrict collaboration to within (company)" is enabled under "Collaboration".

Once you have confirmed if the restriction is on, you may or may not be able to disable it depending on your permission in that folder (if you own or co-own the folder you should be able to disable it) then click the Save button, and then try sending the invitation again to your external collaborators.

If this information does not help, you can always reach out to our Support team so they can further investigate by clicking on the “Contact Support” link just above this page.
