I am hoping by now that Box has facilitated a method for collaborators to export a list of their file names. If so, can anyone pleases advise me how to do it?


I have searched (and searched...) and have not yet come across an answer. No-one, it seems, has asked this question for non-admins for 2-4 years and there were no solutions at that time for those without admin permissions. 


I have a few hundred folders (purchased and joined on Box so the Box fees are paid by my seller company). I cannot "reach out" to that company for a report (which is the advice given by Box Support to one user) because the company has thousands of customers/collaborators.


I have tried selecting (by ticking the boxes) all the files and copying - however, the Copy option is greyed out and nothing appears on the Clipboard despite the message stating xxx number of files have been copied. I need the files in a spreadsheet not just a screenshot. 


Surely it’s not an impossible task to export a list of file names - I've paid for them and my seller is paying Box?

Welcome to Box Community!


To set your expectations. Box offers a Reporting feature wherein Box admins can run reports to get the list of collaboration, folders and files, user activity, etc. However, this feature is available to Business plans and above. I suggest contacting the Box Admin of the organization that manages the shared folder and ask them to conduct the report on your behalf.
