Expiration for Box Documents

Can I set an expiration for viewers on Box documents? I know that you can set an expiration for the link to access any respective document. But, if that document lives in a folder which they have access to, even if I set the link to expire at a certain date, if the user goes to the folder that they are shared on, will they still be able to access the document even after the date that link to the document is set to expire?
