Excel grid lines show up when processed in Box sign

In DocuSign, Excel file gridlines don't show up when processed for signature.

When trying BoxSign however, gridlines show up, even if I hide it in the Excel file. We process some complex templates and we can't afford to add a step to either print first the Excel file as PDF, or change gridlines to white/grey prior to processing in BoxSign. Here's a view of what shows up:

Is there a way to disable this?
