The error “Email already used in a Box account but not associated with an enterprise” occurs because the email address is still linked to a personal Box account, even if the user thinks they closed it. Box treats that email as active until the account is fully purged from their system.

I had an end-user who had a personal Box account using the corporate email address. He closed the account; however, when trying to create a new Box account, the following prompt displays within the Box admin ui "Email already used in a Box account but not associated with an enterprise" What is the fix?
