Welcome to Box Community, and we’re here to assist changing your primary email address! 

Could you check if the email address you’re using to update your primary email is not yet registered to Box? If it does, please note that you can associate your email address to Box once. 

You should consider using an alternate email address without association Box. 

Here are the complete steps to change your primary email address:

1. Log in to Box.com and navigate to Account Settings> Login and Email Addresses. 
2. Select one of the following options:
   • For paid accounts, click Link Email.
   • For free accounts, click Link Personal Email.
3. Enter a valid email address.
4. Click Save.

An email verification will be sent to the address you entered. Click the verification link in the email to confirm and add the alternate email to you account.

To make a secondary email address your primary email address:

• Click Make Primary next to the email address you want as your primary email address.

To remove an email address:

1. Click Remove next to the email address you want to remove.
2. In the confirmation dialog box, click Okay.

This does not work.  I’ve already tried it.  The first email that I need it to go to apparently there is already an account with that name. So I tried my msn account and it tells me that it needs to be the same domain as my primary address which is an email of a business I told and the domain will be gone the end of this month.

This is a HUGE problem for m.
