E-mail verification not working

Hi, I have been trying to verify my email since last night (as part of updating profile).  I follow the link, get prompted to create a new password - when I press "set password" button it sends me to 

403 Forbidden

Attempting a prohibited action

I have tried different browsers.  Oddly, without logging in, I am able to see my default profile and posts.  Thank you for your help.
