Duplicates with one person's email!

Hi!

There was a glitch and one person has duplicated every file in all of our folders adding their email in parentheses after the original name of the file. It has taken us HOURS to try and delete them!

The search function on box has been terrible. We have searched "this person's email" that shows up in every duplicate, but even though we filter the results we still get files that do not have the email in the file name (even when clicking file and folder names) AND it also keeps brining up files we have already sorted into our X_DEAD folder even though the X_DEAD folder is outside the folders we have filtered to search within.

TLDR: Is there a way to select every file that has "a specific email" in the name and move it to a X_DEAD folder.

Seems pretty simple, and should be the functionality, but it seems to be impossible for this software... Please help

Hi there,

Welcome to the Box Community!

You may want to check the three situations where these email-appended duplications can occur:

Thanks!

Hi!

This doesn't seem to answer their question... I have the same question, but these resources only tell you how to prevent the problem not what to do when the duplicates are already there.

Is there any way to delete them all? The search function certainly should help but does not work effectively...
