In our EMEA Box Local on Jan 27th, 379079924313 of British Telecom described how he is using Box to manage content across marketing and pre-sales workflows. Highlights:
- Addressing content fragmentation, by migrating content from sharepoint
- Merging content with processes and using APIs
- Re using content across pre-sales and marketing, moving large volumes of content, and displaying content from Box within Salesforce to allow sales and account teams to have access to a single source.
- The loss of control from using email and moving away from email.
- Providing the right content to the right person at the right time on any device
Future plans: Dave has some interesting future plans to build a whole sales flow into Box and create a marketing content store, leveraging meta data, linking content to sales events and sharing with external analysts.
Challenges: Dave spoke about cultural challenges and getting users to migrate off platforms they are used to such as MS Office 365
“Magic Wand feature in Box: If Dave had a magic wand for Box he would like to see improvements around shared links, since the owner of the shared link at BT is often a service account. Dave relies on the Box Command Line Interface(CLI) today. Please share your ideas with our team on Box Pulse
Top Tips from Dave: Dave is a fan of the Box Certified Professional Exam(BCP) and also the Box CLI
