I am attempting to download files from the box app onto an external hard drive by dragging and dropping. The folder will buffer for a while and then pause, keeping a resumable copy. But it will never start downloading again when I try to resume. When I try to download the whole file from the website it tells me the file is too large (500+ GB). Is there a workaround for downloaded large files such as these from the cloud?

From what I can see on my end, you are under a free account. Based on your account, you have 250MB file limit upload. It goes the same with your download limit. You may refer to this article for reference: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196153-Common-Issues-with-Downloading-Files
