Hello - sadly in the Webinterface the download of all files I try to download does not work. Tried with different network/devices.

It only says that my download is going to proceed and urges me to login. Which I did then.

But even then, clicking the download button does not do anything at all. Tried with 5 different files now and no matter which device/browser/network I use - the download button is with no function. Even the three dots with the choice to “download PDF” is not working.

 

The System Status page from you is green and nothing is noted there.

A few questions to help determine the issue and assist with troubleshooting:

  • If you are collaborating with a content, have you reached out to the file/folder owner to check the shared link settings and your permission level to download the files?
  • Can you try using a different browser or access Box in Incognito mode? Also consider clearing your cache and cookies before accessing the file and trying to download again.
  • Are the files watermarked? See Watermarking files to learn more.

 

📝 Note in terms of downloading watermarked files:

  • When using a shared link to access watermarked content, non-collaborators must have a Box account to download watermarked files or folders.

If you're a Viewer of a file:

  • you cannot download watermarked files directly from the folder view. Instead, you must first preview the file to generate the watermarked version.
  • you can only download watermarked files individually, and also not as part of a folder download
