Most our staff are successfully using the Edit tool in box.com: either working online or working on their desktop. Many, including myself, are confused by the "Download" button that is also visible in Box.com. Under what circumstances would someone download versus working online or on desktop. Why would someone download? The extension of this question is whether it is possible to hide the button from users somehow. (There is a core of people who keep downloading instead of using the edit tool).

I definitely have the same question. I have tried to train staff not to use it, and just to use the edit tool. But some staff do, and it has caused mischief with versions and collaboration. I've been eager to know the button's purpose. Thank you for asking the question!!
