Does 2FA need to be enabled for JWT app to work?

I was forced to enable two factor verification on my account before creating a JWT app, but after creating the app I'm able to turn it off without any warnings or caveats.

 

Will disabling 2FA break my app?

     you should be OK to remove 2FA now. It’s only needed for setup.
