When trying to open a Word doc from Box.com, the option to open with, either only shows Microsoft Online, and does not show the designated desktop version of Word. Sometimes the desktop option is there, but grayed out and unclickable.
This has been going on for quite a while according to the forums, and it still keeps happening to me and my fellow users periodically.

And yes, I have Box Tools installed, and all of the default programs for different file types have also been designated.

To confirm, are you using Box Tools in a Windows or Mac computer?
Could you try to uninstall and then reinstall Box tools from your computer and use the installer downloadable from this page and see if that helps resolve this folder you?

I apologize, but it's Box Edit that we've been using to open documents on the desktop of a Windows computer, and NOT Box Tools.
Sorry for the error. Should I still uninstall and reinstall Box Edit?

Yes, please. Box Tools is the installer package that installs Box Edit so they are practically the same.

Uninstalled and reinstalled Box Tools, and still the same result. I see that there's a Windows update that hasn't been applied, which sometimes affects certain programs from running properly. I'll try to install the update, and let you know if that helps.
