Discrepancy in Access stats from box and Get file information API

Hi,

There is some discrepancy between the access stats of a particular file stored in box and the details (e.g. Preview count, Download count) returned from the 'Get file information' API (https://api.box.com/2.0/files/:file_id/)

I can provide the file id if required.

    Hello, 

    An issue of this nature will require further investigation by our product support team. Please ensure you're logged into a paid account and submit a ticket here. 

    I'm not 100% familiar with expected behavior here, but if I took my best guess it's because the numbers returned via the API are regarding views/downloads via the shared link and the numbers returned via the webapp are purely views/downloads via UI.
