Enterprise users should have the ability to disable cascading folder level permission so we can adjust permission at sub folder level. This is a feature that comes standard with competitors such as dropbox. There is no reason why the forward thinking developers at box cannot develop this feature. I am certain I am not the only company that would benefit from this feature.

Hi Ben,

Welcome to the Box Community!

I understand your desire to be able to disable cascading folder level permission or the "waterfall" design in fact a similar idea has been shared to our product team via Box Pulse to break the waterfall permissions and allow for other permissions within a shared folder (so permissions are not inherited from the parent folder).

Unfortunately, this feature suggestion is currently not our future roadmap, and has been tagged as "Not planned". If you'd like to provide direct feedback on this existing product feature request, please visit the post here

Our product managers review these requests and take them into consideration for future product development.

Best,

Bonjour,

Où en est ce sujet aujourd'hui ?

C'est vraiment un point bloquant dans notre activité.

Cordialement,
