When downloading a file from Box, is there a way to specify a location to save the file?
By default, all downloads are saved in the download file.

This forum is primarily for developers using the Box API but it seems to me you might be referring to when you download from the box.com application? In that case the download location is controlled by your browser and each browser will have a setting to change this. Eg. google chrome
