Delete (free) account for terminated employee

I just noticed that a folder within my Box account is owned by a terminated employee using their company email address which is no longer active.  This account needs to be deleted from Box.com and all shared folders removed from collaboration.  Posting here because I am unable to contact Box Support directly.

Welcome to the Box Community! I'm happy to help.

Accounts can only be deactivated by logging in to the account itself under Account Settings. If you say that the email address is no longer active then this user might be unable to access the account anymore

You can also remove yourself from part of the collaboration by going to the folder itself.
