I am trying to invite a person as an editor to a folder. However I am getting a message saying I can not invite deactivated users. Having looked on this forum all I could find was suggestions to contact Box Billing. I did that and was requested by billing to have the person with the deactivated email reply to the email chain giving approval.

We did this however the issue is still here and I can't invite this person. Case ID #3078732

I've emailed billing again and still not heard back, I have tried to get them on the phone with no luck there either.

Has anyone else had this issue and been able to fix it?

As it's urgent I think the only option is to ask the person to set up a new email address. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi Murray,

Welcome to Box Community!

It indicates that you have already collaborated with one of our team members. Please keep an eye out and we'll stay in touch.

Thanks for posting!

Hi,

I still haven't had a response yet fixing this. Wondering if there is anything I can do myself to get around this issue?

Thanks

Murray

360497915707 Your comment is not helpful and does not resolve this issue. I'm also trying to invite a user to collaborate on Box but I receive the "Sorry, you can not invite deactivated users to collaborate" error.

This person is outside of my organization (and therefore their account is not managed by me or my organization). This person needs to be able to collaborate with us so they can securely share files with sensitive information. Please identify how this issue can be resolved, as Box has not provided a clear answer to how this can be resolved.
