Data loss

Some data that I used to store on Box got lost.
I’m pretty sure it was there 1 year ago, but then I moved folders around and now the folders I copied from Box don’t have those files anymore.

I’d need to get in contact to Box support and recover my files from ∼1 year ago.

I’ll pay if needed, just help me recover my files!

I can’t seem to find a way to contact Box support

I had an AI agent investigate the backup I did before the data loss and it said:

I found the deletion event. This was not an old 2025 loss: on 21 March 2026 at 01:03:17, Windows Explorer deleted both folders from Box Drive.
Box’s log also shows the Folder contents were still visible from the cloud on 13 February 2026. I’m tracing whether the March deletion reached Box successfully and whether it was part of a move/copy operation.
This was a failed move, not random disappearance. Explorer was moving the larger 3D tree: it downloaded files in some folders, then deleted each source. For these two folders, Box reported them “empty” and Explorer deleted each in 0 ms—so their children were never downloaded into Dropbox before the cloud folders were removed. I’m writing a recovery package beside the backup on J: with the one surviving project, the full Box-ID inventory, and the forensic evidence. Z: remains untouched.”

So it looks like it was Box error. I copied the folder out and it deleted the source without copying the files
