Create a password

I'm unable to create a password and it is necessary to access a folder that was shared with me. I see that others have had a similar issue, but the forums did not resolve them. Unfortunately, I'm unable to contact support directly through any other method (apparently because you have to pay for support options?). Please assist.

For context, could you tell us more about your issue creating your password?

Does creating your password produces an error? If yes, please attach a screenshot here.

I also have this issue and need a "strong password" to access a folder shared with me. I created an individual account using my google profile. When I went to the account settings and clicked the option to create password under the authentication section, I typed a password that was rated "good" quality. When I clicked "save" I got an error message saying "there was a problem changing your password".

It seems like the issue was caused by signing in with Google during the account creation process. I created a new account with a different email address, chose the option to enter everything manually during that process, and did not use Google. The new account worked perfectly. After some additional searching, it looks like this is a repeat issue that will require Box to do some work on their end to fix the underlying account creation / password problem.
