I implemented the copilot 365 graph connector hoping that it would allow me to use copilot to assist with writing for documents housed in box instead of onedrive, but I still get an error message.  Is the copilot integration limited to asking copilot about the contents of your files?

I don’t know whether this falls on Box’s side or Microsoft’s side, but I’ve been forced to sideload an extension that interfaces with ChatGPT in my word to get around this.  I mostly just use it to change tenses, but there are other scenarios where using copilot for basic things like that can save quite a bit of time.  The sideloaded extension doesn’t really integrate well, so I’d rather just use copilot if that’s at all possible.

👋 Hi @ggodfrey, welcome to the Box Community!

Copilot for Microsoft 365 leverages the Box Connector for Microsoft Graph by making it easy for users to access, summarize, and learn important details about their Box content. After the Box Connector for Microsoft Graph has been enabled and your content has been synced, users can leverage Microsoft Copilot in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft365.com, or copilot.microsoft.com and ask questions on Box content to easily derive information.

To ensure this integration is enabled (if you haven’t done so already), follow these two steps:

  1. Enable the Box Connector for Microsoft Graph
  2. Enable Microsoft Copilot
    • To enable Microsoft Copilot, a valid license is required. You can learn more about how to enable and manage Microsoft Copilot here.

Once the Graph Connector has been enabled, you can start using Copilot to search across your indexed Box content. To know which content has been indexed, you can follow step 3 detailed in the deployment guide. You can then navigate to Copilot and start asking questions on your Box content. Copilot will search across all content in Microsoft 365, including content indexed via the Box Connector for Microsoft Graph. Copilot can find files, summarize content or derive insights from files stored in Box.

📝 Note: This functionality is currently only available if Copilot is accessed from Microsoft Teams, Microsoft365.com, or copilot.microsoft.com.

Furthermore, I see you’ve already collaborated with one of our Product Support team members. Should you need further assistance or troubleshooting with this integration, please continue coordinating with them.

Thanks for your patience, and have a great day ahead! 😊

Okay -- so that was a really long way of saying that no, you do not have that functionality yet, right?
