Hello,
I am having some problems bending my brain around now online and offline mode works with Box Drive on Mac. It def not work in the same way as I am used too with other cloud services.
1. Made a folder on the web "Labels". Made a folder in Finder "Bergwall". They got different "cloud" icons:
2. I guessed that if it got an Icon it was online only. No hard guess since the one with was made online and the one without in Finder.
3. When rightclicking on each and one of them, both had the option "Make available offline" which I thought was weird since "Bergwall" was already offline if I did my guess in #2 right.
4. My folder "Labels" contained a couple of more fiels to experiment with, so I stepped further in and clicked "Make available offline" on another folder. It got a green checkmark.
5. I then selected "Make available Online only" and the green check mark dissapeared.
6. The earlier icon with a cloud and an arrow down didn't appear so this made me wonder. If my best guess back in #2 was that if you hade this cloud icon it would be offline and no icon it would be online, then why the green check mark or why did the cloud icon with an arrow turn up again?
7. So I did the same routin on the folder "Bergwall" as I have done on a subfolder to "Labels" and it got the green check mark when selecting "Make online..." and no cloud icon with an arrow when selecting "Make offline..." again
So this raises a lot of questions.
A. Does no cloud icon with an arrow mean the same as a cloud icon with an arrow since a green check marker means Online?
B. Since I made the folder "Bergwall" in my Finder and put some files in there and it got no cloud icon with an arrow or green check mark - and it got the option "Make offline..." - does it mean that all folders and files I add from Finder automatically goes Offline only?
C. Why?
Please un:confuse me
