I am an Admin, and I am attempting to make a managed user as a co-admin, but I receive the following pop-up:


"Admin and Co-admin roles must use a verified domain for the primary and secondary email address. Please try again."


How do I verify this individual's domain so that they can be a co-admin?

Welcome to Box Community and glad to help! 


Box is adding zero-trust enhancements for Admins therefore, Admins are no longer be able to change/use an existing email address to be a public or unverified domains (such as gmail or yahoo) for their email address.


Add a managed domain by following these three separate tasks:


  1. Add the domain and get a unique code (also known as a hash).

  2. Create a new DNS record for the domain with the unique code.

  3. Validate the domain.
